20 years with the Vicente Ferrer Foundation
It has been two decades since we decided to join forces with the Vicente Ferrer Foundation to make this a better world and contribute our bit in the fight to eradicate poverty and social inequalities in one of the poorest areas of India, Anantapur.
Since 2004, we have been financing the construction of houses and schools each year to ensure that the families of Anantapur have decent housing and their children enjoy a proper education. The collaboration between these two organizations has borne impressive fruits, positively impacting the lives of hundreds of people in rural India.
At EMAC® Group, we dedicate our efforts to improving people's quality of life and contributing to the construction of a more just and supportive world. Therefore, we incorporate the fulfillment of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) set by the United Nations into our values. These goals constitute a universal call to action to end poverty, protect the planet, and improve the lives and prospects of people worldwide.
We believe that a company should not only fulfill an economic function of generating profits, creating wealth, and generating employment; it must also sustainably and inclusively support the improvement of its environment to achieve a more prosperous society with social awareness.
These are some of the projects we have participated in:
A lasting commitment
Over the years, EMAC® Group and the Vicente Ferrer Foundation have worked hand in hand on several transformative projects. Together, we have built three schools that have provided education and new hope to hundreds of children. These institutions have not only improved the future prospects of the students but have also contributed to the development of entire communities.
In addition to education, EMAC® Group has provided a decent home to 94 people. This initiative has brought a radical change in the lives of many families, offering them security and stability. A home is more than a shelter; it is the starting point for a better life, where dreams can come true.
Bicycles that change lives
One of the most inspiring projects of this alliance has been the "Bicycles that Change Lives" program. Thanks to the support of EMAC® Group, 66 young people, more than half of them girls, have been able to overcome the barriers of poverty and continue their studies. The bicycles have not only provided them with a means of transportation but also given them the opportunity to aspire to a better future. This program has been crucial in empowering young women, enabling them to achieve their educational goals and become agents of change in their communities.
Renewing the Alliance: "1km1vida" Project
Recently, the alliance between EMAC® Group and the Vicente Ferrer Foundation was strongly renewed to support a new and ambitious project: "1km1vida," which will enable more than 450 underprivileged young people to access secondary education. With this project, it is hoped that these young individuals will become the next leaders in their communities, driving development and progress from within.
In appreciation of our support in the 1km1vida charity race held on April 20th, the Vicente Ferrer Foundation has presented us with a very special race bib.
The CEO of EMAC® Group, Nuria Boix, and the company's marketing director, Alejandro Bataller, participated in the "1km1vida" charity race held in the old Turia riverbed. 100% of the proceeds from the registrations were allocated to the renovation of the Government Junior College Banaganapalli, a project that will prevent young people in the Kurnool region of southern India from dropping out of school.
