The FMRE holds its annual event and analyses Spain’s role in the world.
The Spanish Forum of Leading Brands (FMRE) held its annual event on November 21 at the Prado Museum, with the support of the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office. The meeting brought together institutional and business representatives to analyze Spain’s image and influence worldwide from economic, political, and social perspectives.

The opening session was led by Javier Solana, President of the Royal Board of Trustees of the Prado Museum, and Reyes Maroto, Minister of Industry, Trade, and Tourism, who emphasized the importance of strengthening public-private collaboration as a key factor for competitiveness and internationalization.

During the event, FMRE’s General Director, Pablo López, outlined the forum’s main areas of action, focusing on intangibles, internationalization, and the business dimension of Brand Spain. A dialogue between José Manuel Entrecanales, President of ACCIONA, and Ignacio Osborne, President of FMRE, addressed Spain’s business image and the need for a “glocal” approach.

The President of the Elcano Royal Institute and the Honorary Ambassadors of Brand Spain shared insights on Spain’s international reputation and the challenges ahead.

The event concluded with remarks by José Manuel Albares, Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Union, and Cooperation, who highlighted the essential role of economic diplomacy in Spain’s global projection.
