Emi Boix, CEO de EMAC® Group, elected President of Valencian Family Businesses
The general assembly of the Instituto Valenciano para el Estudio de la Empresa Familiar (IVEFA) has elected Emi Boix, CEO of our company, as its new president. Emi Boix, who has been the vice president of the entity since 2020, has succeeded Francisco Vallejo, becoming the first woman to hold the presidency of IVEFA.
"Emi, I knew from the moment you joined the board that you would be my successor. Your company, EMAC® Grupo, is a worthy example of a family business, with well-executed generational transition and the female leadership so necessary in these times. I didn't come here to make friends, but I am leaving with over 300, some very special ones. Emi, you know you can always count on me," stated the outgoing president of the Valencian institution, Francisco Vallejo, during Emi Boix's appointment.
Emi Boix, for her part, has stated that she would like to lead with the vision that family businesses are a social good and exemplary promoters of sustainability criteria. “I intend to foster teamwork with the board of directors and the IVEFA staff, creating an environment where family businesses and business families can thrive, innovate, and significantly contribute to the economic and social development of Valencia,” she added.
