A luxury residential development in Mexico incorporates EMAC® solutions in all its homes.
Northern Mérida is one of the fastest-growing and most rapidly developing areas of this Mexican city. Located in this setting is Residencial Andria, a modern luxury residential development featuring EMAC® Group solutions in every home.
The development is situated in one of Mérida's main growth areas, where residential expansion is also driving new infrastructure and services. The complex comprises six minimalist home designs, with one- and two-storey properties set within a landscaped environment of tree-lined private streets.
Thousands of metres of Novopeldaño® MAXI have been installed throughout the project. Manufactured using our innovative, exclusive MAXI material, this solution combines strength, design and sustainability. Installed both indoors and at the entrances to every home, it demonstrates EMAC® Group's ability to provide tailored solutions for large-scale projects in the Mexican market.
Stair safety and design
One of the main construction challenges at Residencial Andria involved the staircases. The project required a stair nosing solution that would create a visual contrast with the flooring while providing a slip-resistant surface, thereby improving safety in these areas.
These requirements were compounded by Mérida's environmental conditions, characterised by a tropical climate, high humidity and elevated temperatures. These factors were also taken into account when selecting the most suitable solution for the development.
The answer was Novopeldaño® MAXI, a solution manufactured using MAXI, an exclusive EMAC® Group material that combines PVC with plant fibres obtained from recycled agricultural waste. Its composition offers strength, durability and design versatility, with a wide range of finishes inspired by wood and other natural elements. This commitment to innovation and the reuse of recycled materials contributes to more sustainable construction.
The material's resistance, variety of colours and range of finishes were decisive factors in its selection. Its installation meets two essential project requirements: improving staircase safety while ensuring that the steps blend seamlessly into the homes' overall aesthetic design.
Thousands of metres and custom manufacturing
The scale of the installation is one of the defining features of this project. Novopeldaño® MAXI has been installed in every home at Residencial Andria, with thousands of metres used across interior spaces and house entrances.
The availability of custom manufacturing made it possible to adapt the solution to the development's specific requirements and achieve the desired finish throughout the properties.
The final result has been one of the aspects most highly valued by the client, who is "very pleased with the solution and the final finish it gives the homes".
Alongside the aesthetic outcome, the decision to work with EMAC® Group was also driven by other factors, including product quality, adaptability and the technical advice provided throughout the project.
