Primark Success Story | Novojunta® Pro Metal 60

High-traffic commercial spaces pose very specific technical challenges. This was the starting point for the Primark project at Sant Cugat Shopping Center, where proper expansion joint resolution was key to ensuring floor durability and user safety.

The challenge: heavy traffic and structural movement

In large-format surfaces such as those of a retail establishment, expansion joints play a crucial role. They must absorb natural structural movements while resisting heavy loads and continuous daily use, maintaining stable and safe performance. Furthermore, in these environments the chosen solution must integrate discreetly and effectively into the flooring system without creating uncomfortable discontinuities.

The solution: Novojunta® Pro Metal 60

To meet these requirements, the project incorporated Novojunta® Pro Metal 60, a profile system entirely made of aluminum and designed for expansion joints up to 60 mm.

Thanks to its lateral hinge design, it allows multidirectional movement, adapting to floor expansions and contractions without compromising stability. Its anti-slip ribbed visible surface provides additional safety, especially important in high-traffic commercial areas.

Its high load-bearing capacity and wear resistance make it ideal for projects where durability is essential. The profile is supplied pre-assembled with crossbars, facilitating precise installation and maintaining correct positioning during placement.
