EMAC® Group Supports the Solidarity Project 131km Against Cancer

Journalist and writer Sebastián Álvaro presented the Solidarity Project “131km Against Cancer”, an initiative actively supported by EMAC® Group, which took place during Holy Week 2009.

The presentation was held on February 27th at the assembly hall of the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC) in Valencia, located across from La Fe Hospital.

Known for leading the “Al filo de lo imposible” documentary series for 27 years, Sebastián Álvaro brought his passion for adventure and teamwork to this solidarity project, emphasizing values of perseverance and overcoming challenges.

The 131km CeC challenge gathered over 300 participants, including cancer survivors, who ran the 131 kilometers from Algímia de Alfara to Teruel along the Vía Verde de los Ojos Negros.

The initiative raised €14,000, equally donated to the Cancer Associations of Valencia and Teruel, supporting research and patient assistance.

Following the event’s success, the Blue Line Solidarios Association of Valencia announced future solidarity projects, including a march supporting victims of gender violence and a charity run across the Sahara.

Through this collaboration, EMAC® Group once again demonstrates its commitment to solidarity, perseverance, and social responsibility.
