Success Story In The Caribbean | Alexandra Resort
When a hotel is located on one of the most spectacular beaches in the Caribbean, every detail matters. Alexandra Resort, located in Grace Bay — one of the spectacular and renowned beaches of the Turks and Caicos Islands — contacted us in search of an effective and long-lasting solution for the balconies of its rooms, as they face constant exposure to marine salt and occasional rainfall typical of the tropical climate, which pose an ongoing technical challenge for its facilities, especially the room balconies.
With the aim of preserving both the aesthetics of the complex and the comfort experience of its guests, the resort contacted EMAC® Group in search of an effective, durable solution perfectly integrated into its architecture.
The challenge: protection without altering the aesthetics
The balconies, being directly exposed to the outdoors, suffered the usual consequences of the coastal environment. Accumulated water could run down the façades, generating stains, dampness and progressive deterioration of the cladding. In a high-end hotel environment, these details affect not only the building’s durability but also the perception of quality among guests.
The solution had to meet several key requirements:
• Channel water efficiently.
• Resist corrosion caused by the marine environment.
• Integrate aesthetically into the resort’s design.
• Ensure a long service life with minimal maintenance.
The solution: Novovierteaguas GT
Our Novovierteaguas GT solution is installed on all the resort’s balconies. It is an aluminum drip edge profile specifically designed for façades and terraces. Its ribbed drip edge design channels water efficiently away from the wall, reducing runoff over façades and preventing dampness and staining issues.
The results provide effective protection against water and the marine environment thanks to its optimized design and the use of high-durability aluminum. In addition to offering an aesthetic finish that perfectly matches the hotel architecture, integrating seamlessly with the resort’s elegant style, and above all — most importantly for Alexandra Resort — ensuring greater guest comfort by keeping balconies and façades in perfect condition.
Thanks to systems such as Novovierteaguas GT, it is possible to combine design and functionality, ensuring that facilities located in demanding environments such as the Caribbean not only look flawless but are also prepared to withstand the passage of time.
