Our solutions are present in the JD sports store at La Maquinista shopping centre in Barcelona. The space is subject to constant use, requiring flooring systems that perform reliably without compromising the final finish.

At EMAC® Group, we participated in this project with a solution focused on managing one of the least visible yet most critical aspects of a space’s durability: the behaviour of expansion joints.

To meet this challenge, Novojunta® Metallic Flex was incorporated, a solution designed to efficiently absorb and accommodate these movements.

Movement control with a continuous finish

In large, continuous surfaces, temperature variations generate movements that, if not properly controlled, may lead to issues affecting both the performance and appearance of the flooring.

Novojunta® Metallic Flex consists of two metal profiles joined by a central EPDM microcellular rubber body, enabling the management of stresses caused by floor expansion and contraction.

Its design also allows for subsequent floor polishing after installation, resulting in a continuous, uniform surface aligned with the refined image of the retail environment.

Available in black, grey and ivory, and in heights up to 30 mm, it adapts to the specific requirements of each project, ensuring precise integration on site.
