Emi Boix’s Global Vision: Human Leadership and a Family Business
Leading with Humanity: People Before Processes
In a context where digitalization, AI, automation, and constant change are frequently discussed, Emi expressed it clearly: “We must not forget that people must be at the center of our purpose.”
This reflection directly connects with the philosophy of EMAC® Group: caring for teams, fostering their development, and creating an environment where work is not only about productivity, but also about feeling part of something greater.
For Emi, human-centered management is not a trend—it is a way of understanding business: listening, supporting, building trust, and allowing each professional to find their space to grow.
Emi recalled how she and her sisters, Laura and Nuria, learned the business from the ground up—answering phones, working in the warehouse, handling inventory. A culture of effort that continues to shape every decision today.
This solid foundation explains something many find surprising: beyond working together, they also get together for lunch on weekends. As Emi put it: “In a family business, there must also be room for love, respect, and trust.”
Accessibility, Innovation, and an Evolving Sector
During the interview, Emi spoke passionately about the niche in which EMAC® Group is a leader: technical profiles, expansion joints, precision entrance mats, and a full division dedicated to accessibility and universal safety.
It is a historically male-dominated sector, but one in which more and more women are now playing key roles as architects, engineers, site managers, and specialists. “Change is becoming visible. Universities are full of women who will soon be in key positions,” she noted.
Work–Life Balance, Motherhood, and a Calling to Serve
The conversation also made space to talk about work–life balance, motherhood, and responsibility. Emi shared this candidly: travel, demanding schedules, and giving up some things in order to commit to others—always guided by one clear idea: “My children see how happy what I do makes me. And for me, family is my rock.”
Our CEO closed the interview by speaking about the sense of service that drives her every day: sharing her experience honestly, inspiring by example, and supporting other women who want to start a business, lead, or simply take the next step in their professional growth.
As she demonstrated on the podcast, for Emi, success only truly matters when it is shared and helps open doors for those who come next.
We would like to thank journalist Marina for such an enriching conversation.
